The Grove West Seattle Inn

Located close to a job I travel to a couple times a quarter in White Center, the Grove West Seattle is VERY conveniently located. Every time I’ve stayed here the rooms and beds are clean, the appliances functional and the water nice and hot. Honestly for a 2 star hotel, it’s very nice and very consistent. I know what I’m getting when I stay here. Will definitely stay again and I recommend to anyone who needs a night or two in West Seattle.

Overall, it was a decent stay. It had motel-6 vibes but it’s evident that the owners tried to make it stand out more than a Motel-6. However, it’s a bit pricey for what it offers. When we arrived, the room was clean at first glance but there were lots of candy wrappers at the back of the chair and bedside cupboard. Also, the facilities were abit old - the outlets didn’t have 3 prongs, but their fridge and coffee machine took 3 prongs - so they have both of these things plugged into a loose 2 prongs extension. I realized the extension itself was too loose and the fridge became unplugged overnight so the stuff we had put in there somewhat became warm. The bed sheets were also slightly worn out. Overall the amenities in the room is a bit worn out.. but I appreciate the effort. Also the breakfast is basic - but the cleaning lady kept it spotless in there. There were eggs, pasties, and yogurt (from Trader Joe’s- which was much better than some of the other unbranded we’ve seen at other hotels). You can tell the owners are trying. There were front desk staff all night and the staff was excellent. I would give this place 5 stars if either the prices were lower for what they currently offer or if the room amenities were refreshed.

Apparently, there aren't any hotels in West Seattle, except for this one. I was a little hesitant at first, especially since it was my first time visiting, but I'm glad I made the decision to stay at The Grove. Upon arrival, after 2 hours of being checked I'm, I noticed my a/c wasn't working. I went down and Christian was able to move me into another room with a new A/C. He was very professional and accommadating. I'm from Texas, so we rely on our Air Conditioning. The new room was great. The carpeted rooms could definitely use some new carpet, however, the room was very clean and comfortable. This is a very old motel, but it has been pretty well maintained. The housekeeping employees were very friendly and made sure that you got what you needed. They had a nice continental breakfast included. I would definitely recommend this place to others, and would stay again myself. If you're boogie though, this place might not be for you. I didn't bring my pet, but I appreciate that it's pet friendly. West Seattle takes you out of the hustle and bustle that is downtown Seattle. There are a ton of restaurants, stores, and shops within walking distance, and I'd say it's a safe area to be in. Thanks for the great service! Jeff

The Grove West was a delightful place to stay for me and my partner! We reserved a room very close to my stay date and was still given my prime choice of room, the manager Jeff helped me organize a stay through the Columbia Hospitality team. I was able to reserve a king room with a great view of the skyline, and enjoyed my time greatly. Upon a late arrival, much later than I expected, Melodie was extremely helpful checking us in. The room was clean and tidy, all amenities perfectly in place, and the AC was running to combat the heat of the day. A very comfortable place to stay! The location was perfect for walking through a beautiful area of Seattle, and the woman at the front desk helpfully pointed out a few places I should check out to sight see. Overall, a great stay, and a hotel I will be definitely visiting again! Thank you for a great time!

My stay at this place was absolutely wonderful! The location is perfect, with easy access to downtown and all the attractions. The staff was friendly and accommodating, and the room was comfortable and clean. I couldn't have asked for a better place to stay during my visit. I highly recommend the place for anyone looking for a stay in West Seattle!
